Terms of sale and privacy

Mouldery sells digital mould kits generated to order and keeps as little data as it takes to deliver them. These terms say what you buy, what we refund, which data we hold, for how long, and who to write to.

During the launch, kits are free: wherever this text mentions a price or a payment, the licence applies in the same way to the kits you download free of charge.

Scope

These terms apply to every purchase made on mouldery.com and to your use of the site and the studio. By paying for a kit you accept them. If you buy as a consumer, the mandatory rules of consumer law in your country of residence apply on top of these terms and prevail where they conflict.

The product: a digital kit generated to order

Designing and previewing a vessel in the studio is free and needs no account. A kit is produced only when you pay: the download page rebuilds the nine STL files, the README and the kit.json in your browser from the exact parameters stored with your order, and packs them into a ZIP. Nothing is generated or stored on our servers; the ZIP is yours to download from the confirmation page and from the link sent to your email address.

The download link is personal, does not expire and allows up to 20 downloads per order. If you lose it, the site can re-send the links of every kit bought with your email address; that function is limited to a few requests per hour per address.

The kit is files, not a physical product. Printing, silicone, casting materials and hardware are yours to source; the README and the guides tell you what to buy.

Price and payment

Prices are shown in US dollars. The price of a kit is the one displayed in the studio at the moment you pay. Depending on your country, sales tax or VAT may be added and is shown before you confirm.

Payment is processed by Stripe on its own secure page. Mouldery never sees and never stores your card number; we receive from Stripe a confirmation of payment, the email address you entered and an identifier for the transaction. A receipt is sent to that address.

Right of withdrawal, refunds and regeneration

A kit is digital content delivered immediately. By paying, you ask us to generate it at once and you acknowledge that, where the law provides a right of withdrawal for distance sales, that right is lost once the download has started.

What we do guarantee is that you get what you paid for. If the generation fails, if a file is corrupt, or if the kit does not match the parameters you chose, write to hello@mouldery.com within 14 days of the purchase: we regenerate the kit free of charge, and refund it if we cannot deliver a correct one. Refunds go back to the card used for the payment, through Stripe.

We do not refund a kit because the vessel was not the size you intended, because a part was printed with the wrong settings, or because a silicone or casting material did not behave: the preview and the README exist so you can check all of that before and after paying.

Licence

The files of a kit are licensed, not sold. The licence page says what you may and may not do; in short, print the kit for your own workshop, sell what you cast, do not pass the files on.

What we do not guarantee

The kit is geometry. Whether it prints well, whether the silicone cures and whether the casting succeeds depends on your printer, your materials and your workshop; the guides document a process that works, they are not a warranty of your result. You are responsible for the objects you make and sell, including the safety and labelling of candles. To the extent the law allows, our liability for a kit is limited to the price you paid for it.

Personal data

There is no account. For each order we store: the email address you gave at checkout, an order identifier, the preset and the full kit parameters (needed to regenerate your files from the same link), the amount, currency and status of the payment, the Stripe session and payment identifiers, timestamps, and the number of downloads. Your IP address is used only to limit the rate of checkout requests and of link re-send requests, and is kept for the duration of that limit, at most an hour. Order events (paid, re-sent, refunded) are written to an administrative log.

We use this data to deliver and regenerate your kit, send the receipt, answer support requests, keep accounts and prevent abuse. It is shared only with the providers needed for that: Stripe for payment, our email provider for sending receipts and links, and our hosting provider. We do not sell it, do not profile you and do not use it for advertising.

Order records are kept for as long as the download service runs, because your link never expires and the kit is regenerated from those parameters, and for as long as accounting law requires for the invoice. You can ask at any time to see, correct or delete the data attached to your email address; deleting an order also disables its download link. If you subscribe to the newsletter, your address is kept in a separate list until you unsubscribe, which takes one click.

Cookies and local storage

Mouldery sets no tracking cookies, no analytics cookies and no advertising pixels. The payment page is hosted by Stripe and uses Stripe's own cookies for fraud prevention, under Stripe's privacy policy. The studio may keep your current design in your browser's local storage so that it survives a reload; that data stays on your device and is never sent to us until you choose to generate a kit.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of the country where the operator named above is established. If something goes wrong, write to hello@mouldery.com first: almost every problem with a digital kit can be fixed by regenerating it. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country of residence and the right to bring a claim before its courts.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page is the date of the current version, and the version in force on the day of your purchase is the one that applies to it.
